【Paris Olympics】Competition for entry is too fierce…

English

Too fierce…maybe that’s the right word. The recent World Cup games, which also served as the qualifying round for the Paris Olympics, required the teams that did not qualify to go through to the final qualifying round (OQT), where they had to crawl their way up. Twenty-four countries have been selected to participate in the final qualifying round, and China and Korea will not even be able to participate in the final qualifying round. (show quote)
The final qualifying round will consist of 24 teams, divided into four tournaments of six teams each, with the winner of each tournament qualifying for the Olympics. The thumbnail image shows the previous OQT. The draw will now be held to determine which countries will be placed in which groups. (FIBA website)
